God is the originator of all things. He created the heavens and the earth-the universe as we know it-the trees, and all living creatures on this earth. God also created human beings in His own image and likeness-“So God created man in His own image. In the image of God created he him; male and female created he them” (Genesis 1:27). God loved and cared for man and constantly watched over him. He was concerned about man’s welfare and his needs. Man’s need was sociological-he needed a companion who could complement him in every area of his life. And so, God stepped in and said, “It is not good that the man should be alone, I will make him an help meet for him” (Genesis 2:18).  So woman came into being. The helpmeet was God’s artistic creation. When God gave man his helpmeet, it was love at first sight, and man exclaimed, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of man” (Genesis 2:23). She definitely is God’s artistic creation. Just look at the modern day advertisements, for almost every ad, a woman model is used be it men’s shoes, cigarette, or even a bike which she can hardly handle…..
